AGT 2010 Annual Picnic

At the home of Tom and Sharon Sobotka in Edgemere (Baltimore), MD (directions below)

Please bring a dish to share and a happy heart. You may also wish to bring a chair for each person in your party. You may also bring discs, kites, games, etc. Hamburgers, hot dogs, vegiburgers and drinks will be supplied by AGT. In addition, you can try your hand at fishing/crabbing, boating, or bocci. There are also ball fields and tennis courts at the high school (walking distance from the summer house).

Please let us know how many members of your family are coming so that we can have adequate food supplies.

Driving instructions to "The Shore" on Back River, 3150 Main Ave., Edgemere (Baltimore), MD

From the DC area:

Take either Route 95 or Baltimore/Washington Parkway NORTH
Exit onto the Baltimore Beltway (Route 695) EAST toward Glen Burnie/Key Bridge
Stay in middle/right lanes of Route 695 (do not turn off onto Route 97) and go across Francis Scott Key Bridge - $2 toll
Take Exit #43 (Edgemere/ Fort Howard) and go to the end of ramp (STOP sign)
Make a left and follow Route 158 East toward Edgemere/Ft. Howard
Keep going straight until this road crosses North Point Road and then turns into Route 20 South (entrance to Edgemere)
Bear right with the road and follow Route 20 through the town of Edgemere for about 1-2 miles
Look for a High's convenience store and Sparrow's Point Senior High School, both on the left side
Turn left onto Main Ave (between the High's and the school)
Bear left at the bend in the road
"The Shore" is the white shingled house on the left side of the road with the long white wooden fence
NOTE: If there have been several days of rain, please park cars in the Sparrow's Point Senior High School lot at corner of Route 20 and Main Ave

Directions Back Home:

At the High's/Sparrow's Point High School, turn right
Stay on this road through two traffic lights and you should see a sign for Route 695 SOUTH at the second traffic light
Follow the signs for Route 695 SOUTH - this will take you back across the Key Bridge and to exits for the Baltimore Washington Parkway or ROUTE 95 SOUTH
Take either exit to get back to the DC area
